The United States of America is the world's third largest country in size and nearly the third largest in terms of population (318,892,103).

In the early 17th century, settlers moved from Europe to the New World, established colonies, and displaced the native people.

The settlers fought for their independence from Britain in the late 18th century and formed a union of states based on a new constitution, declaring independence from Britain on July 4, 1776.

Do you want to watch the fifty States?

They have their own flag, of course.

But they have the same President. The current President is the 45th. Did you hear about them?

We are going to travel to the capital city of The United States of America: Washington, D.C. and we are going to visit some well known places such as The Capitol, Lincoln, Jefferson or Washington Memorials...
Are you ready?

And The White House, of course!

But we can't travel to The USA without visiting its most famous city, The Big Apple: New York.
Let's take our luggage and fly over there... It's waiting for us!

This is one of the funniest festivals of the year. We love it!!
First of all, we decide the subject together (everybody at school).
After that, we think different possibilities to dress up ourselves.

Then, we prepare funny ideas to work, decorate and celebrate this party with classmates and teachers in our classes.
And, last of all, the day arrives and with it... our performance ("Superman" from Miguel Bosé, for 5th and 6th levels, in this ocassion).
We are so excited...!!

Come and celebrate Carnival with us!
Be a Superhero, too!

Super superman
Don’t you understand we love you?
Super superman
Don’t you know you are my hero?

Knock’em dead!
Superman!
Knock’em dead!
I’ll tell you how to hit the beat
Su - per - man!

Super superman
Can’t you see I am your first fan?
Teach me how to fight
Tell you how to dance zit all right

(Chorus

Come on to fifty-four
Pick me up before it’s midnight
Super superman
How do you feel among the young men?

Super-dancing
Super-moving
Super-touching
Super-loving
Superman!... Superman!... Superman!
I’ll tell you how to hit the beat...
Su - per - man!
